Just a few days after the concert, at the regular Oxfam meeting, Meryl and Peter Gamgee will speak about their recent experience working as mature-age volunteers at an Internally Displaced People’s Camp in Kenya. They will speak about the unexpected skills they had to offer, the different perspective as Mature Age Volunteers and the satisfactions gained from the experience.

Meryl and Peter were fantastic, speaking about culture shock and amazing initiatives they showed and accomplished in just 4 weeks: built a library and stocked it, a medical consulting building, bought a ute-full of food and distributed it; set up a diabetes activity group. Incredible!
