Kavisha, Shaking the Tree, VoKallista and wildcard, Eric van Cuylenburg, brought us to tears; lifted the roof and warmed our hearts in a fantastic concert. What a way to save the world!
Along with raffle and sale of our famous coffee & cakes, we made, after costs, $3600 for Oxfam Australia and a mountain of social capital for locals and visitors.
All performers later emailed how much the audience, "wearing their heart on their sleeve" affected them. "They are the most precious audiences," said Kavisha, "and bring out the best in us performers!"
Our great thanks to the performers for their discounted fees and wonderful acts, the Baptist church, Selby Folk Club, assorted friends & relations, and our own Dandenong Ranges group volunteers.
