Selby resident Andrew Flint will describe an initiative grown out of recent travels to Kenya. He has set up a web-based business that combines development aid with first world business. It's called Carbon Communities and combines carbon trading with reafforestation projects in Kenya.
Andrew will also give an update on the Karen community in Melbourne, that this Oxfam Aus group helped in 2005 with a fundraising dinner that provided airfares for six Karen refugees to fly to a new life in Melbourne.
